And track has begun

Last week was a whirlwind of track practice, track meets, standerdized testing and working on my intership hours. Finished another class and start a new one this week.

We had a yummy dinner on Friday, had some friends over and LG made his famous shrimp enchiladas. Yesterday we went to watch Savannah cheer and then to Target to work on our registry.

Today we had lunch with my fam and then to Home Depot to pick out all the stuff for our robot baby room! LG has designed the room, picked all the colors and new things like ceiling fan and lighting. It looks great! I found a super cheap Retro Robot bedding set online and we already ordered it.

How being pregnant is like being a vampire

1. Food tastes weird to you.
2. You stay up all night and want to sleep all day.
3. You "glow".
4. You could kill someone with your bare teeth. (if they piss you off enough)
5. You want your meat bloody. (just can't have it)
6. Your nails grow really fast.
7. You have acute hearing. (okay, maybe just me?)
8. All your senses are heightened. (smell, disgust, sound, light)
9. No tanning.
10. You hate garlic. (okay maybe me again)

Man oh man what a week!

What a week we have had!! Monday I had to shop for Thursday, which was our last game. Tuesday was my big Family Night at school which I got to be in charge of for my internship hours. We had to reschedule it from last week, so there wasn't many parents there. I think that comes with our school, but I was still a little disappointed. Wednesday was the big day! Not only did I get to leave work early, but we found out we are having a little boy! Well, okay, probably big. haha He did not want to show himself, let me tell you! She tried on my belly for almost 30 minutes!! It looked like he was meditating sitting cross legged with his hands in the air. So we had to do a vaginal sonogram.....ugh. But we saw it! His little hoo hoo in all his glory! Tammy and LG were so excited. After that we went and got the little man some fun things I had been eyeing. Then dinner at Pei Wei, yum Tammy's favorite! Then we had a few more places to run to for my last game on Thursday. Thursday was our last game, and my team was not going to make it easy on me. It was a close game, but in the end we wound up undefeated co-city champs! I'm going to order us a banner this week hopefully to go in our gym. It's my first banner ever! Yesterday was pictures with the team and home I came! It was a tiring week. Whew. Today I am going to a baby shower and then to dinner with the Hogues who are in town! So exciting!

Wednesday!

Well we are counting down the days here around the Grimes house till Wednesday when we find out if we have a Liam or a Hannah, Peyton or Zooey?? We can't decide. My mom gets to go with us and we are so excited about that too. She just got a promotion at work, but was able to get off for the excitement! Then we are going to this fabulous store I love and buy some cute stuff I have been waiting on!

It has been crazy around here otherwise. Wednesday we had a snow day, and the roads were so bad that we didn't get out till like 3! Thursday we had the first of our tourney games and won! Then Friday we had our big fundraiser at school, 200 kids and lots of games and food. It was fun! We made almost 2000 dollars. Got home about 1030. Sigh. Then yesterday we played in the tourney again, 2 games, lost the last championship one. I got a warning in the first game because as usual, we had one ref, and he sucked and I told him about it. No tech though. The 2nd game he was all alone again. Our athletic coordinator for the whole district just sat there while this went on. She could have done something, but no. Whatever. Then we took the kids to Cici's and home I came. I slept like 3 hours when I got here!

Today we went to brunch in Oak Cliff with Cady and Jesus at this yummy place but my omelete had brie in it so LG had to eat it and I ate his. Such a good hubby! He also bought me a GPS this week so Baby Grimes and I will never be lost!

Well gotta run and clean and finish my homework. I found out that yes, I am on target with my classes and will finish on June 30! Woohoo!
